We complete the refinishing process in 3 to 5 hours and you may use the unit the following day, saving you a significant amount of time and money. All work is performed on-site in the bathroom area with absolutely no mess for you to clean up and may be completed in virtually any color. We also can install a new drain and overflow for an additional cost. The average life of a properly maintained refinished bathtub is 12-18 years before it would need to be redone. We warranty each refinish project for 5 years. It is our Poly II products that are a cut above the rest. The crucial difference is Cross- Link density. The most crucial difference between high and low performance coatings is the actual number of chemical bonds holding the molecules together. The higher the cross-link density, the higher levels of overall film durability and lifespan of a tub refinish. Poly II combines the distinct advantages of acrylics with the superior performance of an aliphatic-based ASTM Type 5 urethane coating system, producing a super tough film for extended coating life-spans. Porcelain Cast Iron or Enameled Steel Bathtub Process
The process to refinish a porcelain cast iron or enameled steel bathtub is; the caulking is removed, the bathtub is scrubbed clean, then etched, neutralized, thoroughly rinsed, wet sanded and a final clean. The acid based primer is sprayed on, next the textured floor is applied then the Poly II top coat is sprayed on. We will recaulk between the tub and tile.
Tile Refinishing
Tile refinishing is a wonderful option, it seals in the grout lines to make cleaning easier (no more mold or mildew) and can update colored tile either in a solid neutral color or in our stone look finish for a modern flair. To do a tile refinish the tile, grout and backer board must be in good condition or repaired to good condition. The tile and grout are thoroughly cleaned, the primers are applied, the color coat is applied followed by our clear coating.
Fiberglass, Acrylic and Cultured Marble Refinishing
Fiberglass, acrylic and cultured marble refinishing is a great opportunity to make something old look new again. With proper care the average life of a refinish is 15-20 years. The coating is high gloss and durable even stronger than the original finish. The refinishing process for fiberglass, acrylic and cultured marble is; the unit is thoroughly cleaned, the finish is wet sanded, cleaned again, the textured floor is applied and then the catalyzed acrylic urethane top coatings are sprayed on. The unit is ready to use the next day.
